Quick Thots about SPN 4.12

I actually liked this episode.  Why?  Because the brothers are back together...hunting...doing brotherly things...Dean is joking...Sam is angsting.  Just like old times!!!  I know it can never be like it was back in S1 or even S2, but this epi was really close.  Besides the fact that Ruby is trying (and looks like succeeding) to get Sam to use his powers again.  But, GAH!  Brothers hunting together again!  Key word being together.  Did I already mention that?

But the subtext:  The old man having to kill his best friend, his "brother" for the greater good.  Oh man.  Was that a hidden meaning for Dean???....or Sam???

Anyway, I'm off to bed.  And already dreaming about next week's episode. :D

I enjoyed this episode too. Like you said, the boys were back hunting together like old times. Not Dean off talking to Castiel while Sam is off doing something with Ruby (even though she still irks me a little).

That's what I was wondering about. I can definitely see the hidden meaning for Dean, the whole "if you can't save Sam you have to kill him" thing that we kept hearing about in season 2 (and which was echoed a bit earlier this season too).
