Hi, flist! *waves* I've been MIA for the past few days because I haven't been able to leave my bed. Ugh. I've been so seriously sick and I'm still not completely past it. The fever, sore throat and swollen glands I've had for the past 4 days have taken pain and suffering for me to a whole new level. Every time I swallow it feels as if razor blades are sliding down my throat. Lovely, I know. My diet consists of warm broth, popsicles and water. On the bright side, maybe I lost a little weight. Ha.
On another note, after watching this past Thurday's SPN episode, there has been lots of talk (and giggling and poking fun) about seeing Jensen's bowlegs in tight polyester shorts. It was quite amusing and I laughed along with you all until I was curious as to how someone becomes bowlegged (and being boinked by Jared was not one of the reasons/options, lol) so I researched it on Wikipedia. And OMG....now I'm sad. :o( I had no idea how serious this condition is or could become.
"Those with bowlegs and a genetic predisposition for developing arthritis will likely start having arthritic symptoms around age 30." Read the full Wikipedia article here.
I realize that most of what is discussed is a generalization and may not apply for all people with bowlegs and that some cases are much more extreme than others. But after reading the Wikipedia article and hearing Jensen say in an interview that the body part he least likes of himself are his legs, I feel really badly for poking fun or even for loving his bowlegs. I know, Jensen just wouldn't be Jensen without his bowlegs, but I can't look at them anymore without having the overwhelming feeling to hug the guy to pieces. :o(
Anyway, it's good to be back, flist. I hope to be back at 100% operational capacity soon. ;o)

I am glad you're feeling better - a sore throat is a miserable thing.

Oh gosh, Jensen has the most adorable bowlegs on the planet, lol! But after reading about the cause and effect of bowlegs, it makes me feel bad for him now. :(
And yes, a sore throat is a miserable thing. I'm sooo ready to be over it.

I knew this guy who had surgery to correct his bowlegs because they were bad or getting bad or something. Anyway, it was horrible. Painful and long and I felt so bad for him. He was probably about the age Jensen is now. Whenever someone mentions Jensen's bowlegs, that's what I think about.

I'm sorry your friend had to go through such painful surgery to correct his legs. It's a shame that something that looks so cute (well, they look cute on Jensen anyway, lol) can be so damaging in the long run. :(

I was searching for more of your fanfics (after reading "His boys") and stumbled upon this entry. It made me kind of sad to know that Jensen doesn´t like a part of his beautiful body. ._.
And worried - I hope he´s not going to have any health-problems anytime soon. óò
And hey - don´t you feel like writing something about this? Jensen feeling self-conscious about his legs or even Jared stumbling upon this wikipedia article and worrying about Jensens health. Stuff like that.
Uhm sorry, it´s probably not really appropriate to beg someone for fics you hardly know ... ^^*
Please feel free to ignore me.
And please excuse the probably bad english - I´m no native speaker.

And I do love Jensen's bowlegs, but it makes me sad that the condition does give some people a lot of trouble and hurt. :( Let's hope that Jensen is not one of them.
